The Crabs 2029 team again fell short this weekend, dropping their contest to True Chesapeake 12-7. It was a game of two halves, dealing with a few injuries and troubles in the middle of the field, it proved too much to contend with for the last 20 minutes of the game.
Again, this week the Crabs went down 0-3 quickly but never quit and some key saves from Nolan Sanz helped keep the boys’ spirits up. Knowing the history against True and their staff, the team added a new look this week with an invert stack play to give us some more offensive options. Our first goal was able to come from an adjacent look out of the stack with a feed from Hayden Carnecchia to Jace Brown for a big-time juice goal to get the boys going. Immediately on the next position we again were able to capitalize and score from a lefty alley dodge by Brady Crumbacker.
The Second quarter was balanced with both teams getting shots and both goalies making saves. Ultimately Crabs would be the first to strike in the quarter on a man-up with a feed from Ollie Bengermino to a cutting Kai Geesaman for a doorstep look which got the game tied up at 3-3! True would score right back though with a low wing pick play to keep them up by 1. Only able to score once more in the half, again from a man-up, the offense was able to beat the True jump look on man down with another door step look again from Ollie Bengermino to Jackson Verner. The second half would end 4-6 in True’s favor.
After a great first half going back and forth, finding good offensive looks, and making stops on defense, the second half and True’s consistent attack proved to be too much for the Crabs with a few players hurt and multiple players getting tired having to step up and take on much more work. The Crabs are moving on and looking to lock in as the best club in Baltimore already defeating FCA this season and now playing Team 91 for their final match of HOCO. It’s all about bragging rights now!

The 2030 Crabs pulled off a tough win against our cross-town rivals, Team 91, with a final score of 8-7. It was a gritty game and the energy was felt—tons of emotion on both sides. We knew they’d come out strong and wouldn’t go down without a fight. A lot of our guys know players on their team, which definitely added some extra fuel. We led most of the way, but 91 kept it close and reminded us they weren’t going anywhere
The first quarter was hard fought, but we were down 2-1. Our goal was scored by #2 Slade Ferrera, assisted by #94 Jules Greschler (one of his two assists in the game). The second quarter was both offensively and defensively sound. Our defense held them to zero in the quarter, and our offense scored three goals. Back to back goals by #14 Nathan Snyder, and a goal from #11 Durban Manekin gave us a 4-2 lead heading into halftime. Goals were assisted by #22 Alex Levinson, #94 Jules Greschler, and #42 Kingsley Gilliss. Coming out of halftime, we kept our momentum rolling, scoring three goals and holding 91’s offense to one goal. Goals were scored by #94 Jules Greschler and two goals by #42 Kingsley Gilliss. In the fourth quarter, 91 started to surge back into the game by scoring four goals. The lone goal in the quarter for us was by #2 Slade Ferrera, assisted by #16 Luke Miller. Defensively, #13 Owen Mengel and #26 Cannon Griffith each had three caused turnovers. Still, no win comes without its bumps. #88 Charlie Rotenberry (goalie) was injured from a check to the elbow. He is a fighter, so we are confident he will claw his way back, better than ever.
All in all, this weekend’s win was a hard-fought, team win. We clinched a spot in the playoffs, while eliminating 91. We did a lot of things well, but will need to tweak some things to get ready for next week. We are looking forward to a strong week of practice. Go Crabs!

This week the Crabs faced Team 91. Our coaches had us well prepared and ready to WIN, and that we did!
We came out strong in the first quarter with a 4-0 lead. Jack Berrier found the back of the net first, followed by Trevor Smith, Trey Grace, and Dylan Keller. In the second quarter, the Crabs scored 4 more times with goals from the Team 91 defense, Trey Grace, Finn Kernan and Dylan Keller. Going into halftime the score was 8-1. In the third quarter, we scored 4 more goals; Trey Grace, Jack Berrier, Finn Kernan and Trevor Smith. Finally, in the fourth quarter, an additional 4 goals were scored by Dylan Keller, Trevor Smith, Colin Keller, and Colin Lally. The team play and ball movement was fantastic with 8 of our goals being assisted. Colin Keller led assists with a total of 5 for the day.
The midfield and defense played physical and intelligent, allowing only 14 shots the entire game. Led by outstanding play from our goalies Ryder Radebaugh and Carson McClure and our defensemen Tucker Orcel, Bradley Crocker and Keegan Moretz, never let up. Our LSM and wings, John Lackovic, Pax Devries, Max Rae, Chance Hardesty and Colton Pyle dominated ground ball control in the neutral zone. The defense had 5 caused turnovers led by Tucker Orcel (2), Bradley Crocker (1) Keegan Moretz (1) and Max Rae (1). Tallying an outstanding 7 ground balls for the day, was Teddy Furrer.
Final Score: Crabs – 16, Team 91 – 5! Time to get back to work and prepare for the final game of the regular season against Madlax. Let’s go Crabs!

Crabs vs. Clippers – Strength in the Stride
Crabs 2032 took the field Sunday for a gritty matchup against the Clippers, showing flashes of strength and heart in a hard-fought 5–8 loss.
The first half saw some of our best clearing sequences of the season, sparked by defensive intensity. Clive Howell (#6) and Conor Donohoe (#4) battled hard—delivering caused turnovers, groundball wins, and crease pressure that helped swing momentum into scoring chances. Offensively, we capitalized with three first-half goals—two from Brody Girch (#2), one assisted by Anders Eberle (#13) and the other unassisted, along with a heads-up solo finish by Jameson Forrester (#0). Goalie Jay Morgan (#34) stood tall in the cage with 6 saves and 4 goals against in the first half.
In the second half, possession became a challenge. Despite a few faceoff wins, we had trouble keeping the ball out of our defensive zone. Still, the team dug in and kept battling. Braydon McLaughlin (#21) and Cort Hopkins (#32) held the fort, while Steele Stock (#5), Oliver Macon (#1), and Solden Hall (#71) pushed the ball upfield and worked to limit time spent in the defensive third. When we crossed midfield, ball movement was crisp, and persistence paid off with two more goals: a groundball pickup and finish by Nathan Lotharius (#98), and an unassisted shot by Bowen Drennan (#11). Lincoln Copinger (#55) turned away 7 shots in the second half, allowing just 4, as the defense stayed under constant pressure.
While this door may close the playoff doors, it showed just how far we’ve come. We’ll take this one in stride and keep moving forward—sharper, tougher, and more prepared for what’s next.

Crabs vs. True Chesapeake
The Crabs earned a gritty 8–5 victory over True Chesapeake in a competitive, physical game. True Chesapeake came out fast, striking early in the first quarter and putting the Crabs on their heels. But the Crabs responded, grinding their way back into the game behind a collective team effort.
Goaltenders Quinn Nicolini and Nolan Hardesty stood tall in the cage, combining for a series of clutch saves that kept the game within reach and eventually sealed the win. On the defensive end,John Osgood, Holden Lombardi, Harrison Manske, George Zarukaev, and Bradley Pitts anchored a unit that tightened up as the game wore on, shutting down True Chesapake’s offense.
In the midfield, Jake Levinson, Henry Incontrera, Thomas Mink, Mason Posner, Rocco Curreri, Tilman Weaver, Truce Frank, and Vinci Curreri controlled the tempo and battled for ground balls, helping to swing momentum after a slow start. Their two-way play was instrumental in the Crabs’ second-half surge.
On the attack, Cole Kauffman, Ronan Brown, Reese Spilker, and Domenic Cardile powered the offense, combining for timely goals and assists. Their ball movement and finishing in tight spaces were key in cracking Chesapeake’s defense.
After trailing early, the Crabs methodically clawed back, securing the 8–5 win and demonstrated why this squad has been one to watch this season.

The 2034s continued their winning streak on Sunday against True Harco!
We got a slow start in the first quarter and ended with just one point on the board-a great feed from Cam Peichert to Everett Woodford.
The Crabs picked up the intensity in the second quarter from the start with a great execution of their man up play scored by Keegan Castle assisted by Graham Fritze. Offense continued their momentum with a great assist from Logan Woodford to Brecon O’day and then a quick face off win and finish by Marcus Toner. The defense, consisting of Hudson Washburn, Koa Knapp, John Mest, Tiernan Norman, and Keegan McGinn stepped up big in both the first and second quarter causing numerous turnovers. The back bone of the defense, Ryder Woodward came up huge and made amazing saves keeping True Harco off the board the entire first half.
In the third quarter, defense came out strong starting with an interception by Keegan McGinn. And then a great play from John Mest, getting the ball out of the defensive end and up to attackman CT Stoker for a goal! Koa Knapp had some big defensive stops making it challenging for our opponent to get shots off. Once again, Ryder Woodward came up big and made an awesome one on one stuff! Barrett Miles dominated in ground balls in the third quarter to keep the ball alive on our offensive end. We continued to win the face offs which resulted in a quick goal by Marcus Toner. Marcus also had an interception on the defensive end to pass it to CT Stoker for another goal.
In the fourth quarter, our defense continued to be a powerhouse. They stayed big on man down and worked well as a unit. Midfielder, Blake Caulder, came up with a huge stop for us on the defensive end to allow our offense to keep possession. There were some amazing contributors on ground balls-Hudson Washburn on the defensive end and Henry Koropecky on the offensive end. There was some good ball movement in the fourth quarter as well, especially a great play-a transition from Everett Woodford on the defensive end to Henry Koropecky to Keegan Castle to Logan Woodford for a goal! Once again, Marcus Toner won the face off and assisted a great rip by Briar Cooper. Keegan McGinn got another great stop on man down that abled Keegan Castle to assist our last goal to Graham Fritze to end the game with a 10-1 win. We are ready to dominate Next Level this weekend!

The youngest Crabs took on Madlax this Sunday in a rainy morning matchup. Having already faced this team in the Fall, and loosing by a rather large margin, we weren’t sure what to expect. But WOW did these Crabs show up!?
It was a nail-biter of a game with each team going goal for goal throughout the entire morning. Goalies Teddy Nee and Griffin Bigos took on an onslaught of shots making some incredible saves. Teddy always anticipating and bolting to be first on shots that soared over the cage and Griffin launching perfect clears into the sticks of our middies.
Defenders Harrison Lombardi, Patrick Holmes, and Connor Barnaba stayed on their toes, working hard all morning to communicate slides and catch the cherry pickers on the crease.
Though we had a tough time winning faceoffs, we didn’t let that put us in the hole. The middies worked in overdrive to cause turnovers on defense and get the ball up to their attackers. Benjy Burgess led the brigade with 5 goals, Connor Incontrera and Eddie Haire posting 2 goals a piece, and one each from Peter LaPaglia IV, Bowen Scheiner and Matty Kauffman, whose goal with :21 seconds left in the 4th sent us into Overtime. Assists came on 7 of our 12 goals – Kauffman with 3 and one each from Burgess, LaPaglia IV, Tommy Schrader, and Weston Venker.
Unfortunately in OT, Madlax won the final faceoff and scored on a fast break, sealing the deal on what was otherwise an incredible game of teamwork and grit.
Now we face Next Level Red. Working hard to finish off the regular season with a W! Go Crabs!
