VLC Coaches

Matt Bukovac

Matt Bukovac joined the VLC coaching staff in the fall of 2017 as an assistant coach for the 2023 team, and serves as a goaltending positional coach for the program. Matt was a US Lacrosse All – American and Dulles District player of the year in 2011 at Briar Woods High School. He went on to play at Division I Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA, where he earned NEC All – Rookie honors as well as being named a captain his senior year.

Jake Bullock

Coach Bullock has been with VLC since 2014. He was previously an assistant coach with the 2016 team and is now the head coach of the 2019 team. Coach Bullock is currently his 3rd year as the Head Coach of Oakton High School where they won the Northern Region 6A Championship in 2017 and finished with an overall record of 16-5. Previously to being the HC at Oakton he served as an assistant varsity/head JV coach from 2013-2015 and earned Concorde District Assistant Coach of the year from ’13-’15 and also received Northern Region 6A Assistant Coach of the Year in 2015. He was also the head coach at McLean HS from 2009-2012 and an assistant at Falls Church HS from 2007-2008 where he helped them win the first and only district championship in school history. He briefly played at Randolph-Macon College before transferring to George Mason University to earn his bachelor’s degree. He currently resides in Springfield with his wife Marie and 1 year old son Kenny.

Doug Castleman

Currently an Assistant Coach/Offensive Coordinator at Patriot High School in Nokesville, VA. Since 2014 coached multiple youth teams for Brigade Youth Lacrosse. From 2008 to 2014 coached multiple youth teams in North Carolina as well as the Mustangs Middle School Lacrosse Club (Pollard Middle School) from 2011 - 2014. While in North Carolina Doug was a coach for the FCA NC travel teams - U9/U11 and Red Devil United U11 and U13 teams. Coach Castleman is a graduate of Fairfax High School where he played lacrosse for 4 years.

Andrew Delaney

Drew Delaney enters his third season as the head men's lacrosse coach at the University of Mary Washington. Delaney brings a record of success to UMW, having served as head coach at Elizabethtown College for three seasons, from 2014-16. He posted a 33-16 record during that time, including a 26-9 mark the last two years, going undefeated in league regular season play in each of those years. In 2016, the Blue Jays finished with a 12-6 record and advanced to the Landmark Conference championship game, with two players gaining All-America honors. In 2015, the Blue Jays won a school record 14 games (14-3) and finished the regular season unbeaten in conference play (7-0) for the first time. Delaney was named Landmark Coach of the Year by his peers, as the Blue Jays would put together a team record 13-game winning streak from March 7-April and earn the No. 1 seed in the Landmark Conference Championship. Delaney has served as an advance scout for the Charlotte Hounds of Major League Lacrosse, from 2012-16. Outside of coaching, he brings experience as a physical education instructor, assistant sports information director and equipment manager. Delaney is originally from Maplewood, N.J. His wife, Linda, is a Hall of Famer and former All-American field hockey athlete and three-time all-region selection in women’s lacrosse at Lynchburg College.

John DiCamillo

Coach DiCamillo graduated from Ohio State University, where he played lacrosse from 1998-2002. He was named 1st Team All Conference Midfielder in 2002. John was an Assistant Coach at Denison University from 2002-2003, before moving on to Goucher College as an Assistant Coach from 2003-2005. John coached in Great Falls' program from 2006-2013, winning 5 championships. He has coached with VLC since the club's start and is the VLC 2017 team's Head Coach. John earned the 2013 Fairfax County Champion of Character Award. He is a Real Estate Broker for CBRE, Inc.

Billy Kelly

Coach Kelly will be coaching with the VLC 2020 and 2022 teams. Coach Kelly graduated from the University of Mary Washington in 2014, playing attack for the Men’s Lacrosse team for four years. In 2014, he was named Captain, and helped lead the team to the NCAA tournament. He was an all-region player and two year Captain at Herndon High School from 2006-2010. Coach Kelly has coached both at the high school and youth league levels. He currently resides in Reston, VA and is a Commercial Real Estate Broker with KLNB Retail.

Keith Long

Coach Long is a 2012 graduate and 4-year player at VMI. Following VMI, Keith was drafted by the Rochester Rattlers of Major League Lacrosse where he played midfield for 2 seasons. Following his playing career, Keith coached at Falls Church HS, his alma mater VMI, DePauw University, and Ohio Wesleyan University. Keith will primarily be working with the Offense.

Joey Marson

Coach Marson graduated from the University of Mary Washington in 2014, where he played lacrosse from 2010-2014. He was named an All Conference Midfielder in 2012 and 2014 and team captain in 2013 and 2014. He was also selected to play in the 2014 USILA D3 North-South All Star game. Joey currently serves as an assistant coach at Paul VI.

Robby Moore

Graduated from Roanoke College May 2018 played close defense 2014-2018. 2016 I made the Division 3 honorable mention All-American team. In 2017 I was put on Inside Lacrosse All-American watchlist. 2 time NCAA tournament participant, 3 year starter, led team in ground balls senior year. Selected USILA Division 3 Honorable Mention All-American. Now an assistant coach at Bishop O'Connell as well as a Real Estate Agent at Keller Williams.

Anthony Nader

Tony graduated from Duke University in 2017, where he studied Economics and Finance. At Duke, Tony played goalie for the club lacrosse team and worked as a Supervisor in the Intramural department. Prior to college, he played lacrosse at Paul VI Catholic High School in Fairfax, VA. Tony now lives in Arlington, VA and works at Gartner as a Finance Research Specialist. In his free time, Tony helps coach the Varsity Lacrosse team at Paul VI, working primarily with the goalies.

Jordan Norris

Jordan Norris is a first year coach with VLC, however he currently coaches defense at Mclean Varsity Highschool. He is from Lancaster, PA and while there he coached for Blue Moutain Lacroase for 5 years. He played collegiate Lacrosse at Eastern University in Philadelphia where he was a 4 time first team all conference defender.

Jake Pulver

A biological sciences major, Pulver was a third-team All-American selection, a USILA Scholar All-American, as well as a unanimous first-team All-Ivy selection in 2018. The cornerstone of the Big Red defense since stepping on campus, he was a four-year starter and a three-time All-Ivy honoree on one of the best defenses in the conference during his four seasons. The two-time captain helped Cornell to the 2018 Ivy League Tournament championship and a spot in the NCAA Men's Lacrosse quarterfinals, as well as an Ivy League title and NCAA appearance in 2015. For his efforts both on and off the field, Pulver earned the Senior CLASS Award and was a finalist for the YRL Unsung Hero Award. Jake currently plays for the Dallas Rattlers of the MLL.

Shane Warner

Coach Warner is currently the Class of 2022 head coach. After graduating in 2009 from North Rockland High School in Thiells, New York, Shane went on to play Midfield at Binghamton University (2009-2013) where he was named Team Captain his senior year. He was named to the America East Conference All-Academic Team, team's Most Valuable Player in 2013, and recognized as a finalist for the Yeardley Reynolds Love Unsung Hero Award. Following graduation, Shane went on to McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland where he coached for two years while attaining his Master's Degree in Education. He is the former defensive coordinator at Bishop O'Connell High School and McLean High School. Currently, Shane teaches History and English at McLean High School in McLean, Virginia.

Patrick Zanelotti

Coach Zanelotti has been coaching high school and club lacrosse in Washington Metro area for the last 6 seasons with VLC and Paul VI Catholic HS. Over that time over 30 of his players have gone on to play college lacrosse at DI, II, and III levels with numerous All State, All-Met, and All-American honorees. Coach Z was the associate head coach for Paul VI during their runs to the WCAC championship games in 2013 & 2015 and VISAA championship game in 2013. Coach Z is a 2008 graduate of VMI where he was a 4-year starter as defender and LSM. He was named to 2008 MAAC All-Tournament Team and elected team captain. Coach Z commissioned in the Army upon graduation and deployed as Platoon Leader supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. He has a BA in International Studies and an MBA with a concentration in corporate strategy.
